What is a TELUS bundle and how much does it save?

A TELUS bundle combines two or more home services — internet, Optik TV, Home Phone, security — on one bill at a lower combined rate than each costs alone. Savings arrive as monthly credits across the term, with a further credit if you also hold TELUS or Koodo mobility.

What you actually save depends on which services reach your address, which promotions are running, and whether you qualify for EPP through an employer or association. Bundling is not automatically right: if you rarely watch live television, or expect to move within the year, the commitment can cost more than the credits return.

What can be bundled

Any combination of the home services works, and the saving grows with each one added.

  • TELUS internet, including PureFibre where it reaches your address
  • Optik TV or Pik TV
  • Home Phone, or a wireless home phone where a wired line is awkward
  • SmartHome Security and Online Security

The mobility credit

Households that already have TELUS or Koodo mobility get an additional monthly credit for bundling eligible home services with it. In practice this is the piece most people do not know about, and it means the answer to "should I bundle" often changes once your mobile account is taken into consideration.

What is actually in an Optik TV bundle

Optik is the part people ask about most, and it is not a single package. You choose a base theme pack and add the channels you actually watch, rather than buying a tier built around channels you do not. The set-top box records and pauses live TV, streaming apps sit alongside live channels in the same interface, and the whole thing works over the same connection as your internet.

  • A base package plus theme packs, so sports, news or international channels are chosen rather than bundled in
  • Recording and live pause, with the recordings available on other devices in the house
  • 4K on supported channels and equipment
  • Streaming apps in the same place as live TV, so there is one remote rather than three
  • [TELUS Stream+](/telus-tv-stream-plus/) instead, if you want the streaming services without a box

How the discount is structured

Bundle savings arrive as monthly credits across the commitment period rather than as a lump sum off the first bill, and each service you add attracts its own credit. That has a practical consequence worth understanding before you sign: the saving is realised over the full term, so leaving early costs more than the months you skip. There is a separate credit again for households that also hold TELUS or Koodo mobility.

When bundling is the wrong call

Bundling is not automatically the answer and we will say so. If you barely watch live television, paying for an Optik package to unlock a TV credit is worse value than internet on its own. If you are moving within the year, a commitment term works against you. And if you are mid-contract with another provider, the exit cost usually decides the timing rather than the bundle rate. What we can do is put the arithmetic in front of you.

Why we do not publish the rates

Bundle pricing depends on which services are available at your address — PureFibre does not reach everywhere — plus which promotions are running, whether you qualify for EPP and whether you have mobility with TELUS or Koodo. A number published here would be wrong for most people reading it. Call us, message us on WhatsApp or send an enquiry with your address and we will price the actual combination available to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a TELUS bundle and how much does it save?

A TELUS bundle combines two or more home services — internet, Optik TV, Home Phone, security — on one bill at a lower combined rate than each costs alone. Savings arrive as monthly credits across the term, with a further credit if you also hold TELUS or Koodo mobility.

Do I have to take all three services to get a bundle rate?

No. Two services already qualify, and the saving increases as you add more. The right combination depends on what you would actually use, not on maximising the discount.

Does bundling put everything on one bill?

Yes — bundled home services arrive on a single bill, and installation is generally handled in one appointment rather than several.

I have a TELUS mobile plan. Does that change anything?

It does. There is an additional monthly credit for bundling eligible home services with TELUS or Koodo mobility, so it is worth telling us about your mobile account when we price it.

Can I bundle if PureFibre is not available at my address?

Yes. Bundles are built from whatever internet is available where you live, and PureFibre is one option among several rather than a requirement. We check your address first, then price what can actually be installed there.

What happens to the bundle discount if I drop one service?

The credit attached to that service ends, and dropping below two services generally ends the bundle rate altogether. Because the saving is applied monthly across the term rather than upfront, leaving early costs more than the months you do not use — worth factoring in before committing.
