Every line on your TELUS family account is eligible for $0 upfront device pricing on select phones when paired with a qualifying 2-year plan. The available $0 devices may vary by plan tier, but options are available for every budget level.
How do TELUS parental controls work?
TELUS Family Safety is included with your plan and lets you manage your children's phone usage remotely. You can set screen time limits, filter inappropriate content, track their location in real-time, pause internet access during meals or bedtime, and monitor app usage — all from the My TELUS app on your own phone.
Can I add a senior family member to my TELUS family plan?
Absolutely. You can add any family member — including seniors — to your multi-line account. Seniors get the same multi-line discount as everyone else, and you can choose a simpler, more affordable plan for their line. Our staff can also help set up their phone with larger text and simplified settings.
What happens if a family member wants to leave the plan?
Any line can be removed from the family account at any time. The remaining lines will still receive the multi-line discount based on the total number of lines left. If a device is still being financed, the remaining balance would need to be settled.
Is there a limit to how many lines I can add to a TELUS family plan?
Standard TELUS consumer accounts can typically hold up to 9 lines. If you need more than that, our staff can help set up a solution. For most families, the 5+ line discount tier offers the maximum savings per line.
