TELUS Business Connect
TELUS Business Connect phone system for businesses.
TELUS Business Connect is a cloud phone system: your business numbers, extensions, call routing and voicemail live in the cloud rather than in a box on the wall, and reach your team on mobiles, desk phones and laptops alike. It suits businesses that have outgrown forwarding calls to a personal mobile, and it works anywhere your staff have an internet connection.

What It Replaces
Most businesses arrive at Business Connect from one of two places: an aging on-premise phone system that is expensive to change, or a mobile number on a business card that only one person can answer. The cloud system removes both problems — calls to your main number can ring several people, follow a schedule, or route by department, without anyone needing to be at a particular desk.
- One business number that reaches whoever is available
- Extensions and departments without on-site hardware
- Call handling that changes with your opening hours
- Voicemail and messages reaching staff wherever they are
- Works on mobiles, desk phones and computers together
Keeping Your Existing Business Number
The number on your signage, your vehicles and every listing you have built up over the years moves with you. Porting a business number is more involved than a mobile port because it can carry hunt groups and multiple lines, so it needs planning rather than being done on the spot — but it is done regularly and your number does not go out of service during the move.
Setting Up Call Flow Before You Go Live
The part worth spending time on is what happens to a call that arrives at 6pm, or while everyone is with a customer. A cloud system will do whatever you tell it, which is only useful if someone has decided what that should be. We will walk through your actual call patterns — who answers first, what happens after hours, where messages land — and configure it before the number switches over rather than after.
Mobility and Business Connect Together
Business Connect and TELUS business mobility plans are separate products that work well together: the mobility plan carries your staff phones, and Business Connect decides how business calls reach them. If you are reviewing one, it is usually worth looking at both at the same time, because the answer to 'how do customers reach us' spans them.
A Cloud Phone System for Modern Business
TELUS Business Connect is a cloud-based VoIP and unified communications platform that replaces clunky, hardware-heavy phone systems with one flexible service. Calls, messaging and meetings live in a single app, so your team stays reachable on any device, anywhere. For small and growing businesses across British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario, it is a smarter, more scalable way to handle every conversation, and Bolt Wireless, an authorized TELUS dealer, makes getting set up simple.
Work from Any Device, Anywhere
Your business number follows you. Answer calls on a desk phone, laptop or mobile, and switch between them mid-conversation without missing a beat. This freedom is ideal for remote teams, hybrid offices and owners who are often on the road, keeping you connected to clients whether you are in the office or out on a job.
- Cloud VoIP calling on desk phones, computers and mobile devices
- Auto-attendant to greet and route callers professionally
- Voicemail-to-email, messaging and video meetings in one app
- Easy scalability, add or remove lines as your team changes
- One predictable monthly cost with no bulky on-site hardware
A Professional Image at Any Size
The auto-attendant answers and directs every caller to the right person or department, so even a small team sounds polished and established. Add extensions, ring groups and after-hours greetings to match how you operate. Because everything is cloud-based, growing from five users to fifty is a quick change rather than a costly rebuild.

Do we need to keep our old phone system running alongside it?
No. Business Connect replaces the on-premise system rather than sitting beside it. During a transition it is common to run both briefly while numbers port, but the destination is a single cloud system with no hardware on your wall.
Can staff use their own mobiles without giving out personal numbers?
Yes. That is one of the main reasons businesses move to it. Staff answer and make business calls through the app, and the customer sees the business number rather than the personal one — so a staff member leaving does not take the customer relationship with them.
What happens to calls when the internet goes down?
Because the system is in the cloud rather than in your building, an outage at your office does not take your number offline. Calls can be routed to mobiles or an alternate destination, and that failover behaviour is something to configure deliberately when the system is set up rather than discovering during the first outage.
How long does it take to move our number across?
A straightforward business number is usually a matter of days; a number carrying multiple lines or hunt groups takes longer and needs coordination with your current provider. We will give you a realistic timeline once we have seen your current setup — and your existing number keeps working throughout.
Is Business Connect suitable for a very small business?
It can be. A two-person business that wants calls to reach either of them on one number, with proper after-hours handling, gets real value from it. It is worth a conversation about how your calls actually arrive before deciding — for some very small businesses a simpler setup is genuinely the better answer, and we will say so.
