To use TELUS SmartHome Security products, you’ll need high speed internet service to support outdoor camera use and to be within the TELUS Mobility HSPA coverage area. Final eligibility for the services will be determined by a TELUS representative.

You can control your system using your included Control Panel or the TELUS SmartHome app, which you can use from anywhere using your mobile phone. Easily manage your anti-burglary, life safety sensors and automation devices.
Depending on the SmartHome Security plan you choose, cameras may be included in your plan. If not, you can always add cameras to your chosen plan. We offer a wide variety of camera options to protect your home, including the Indoor Wi-F camera, Slimline Wi-Fi Doorbell camera, and Outdoor Wi-Fi Security camera.
Live footage allows you to see what is happening in real-time from your SmartHome app or Web Portal. Recorded footage allows you to see past video. These saved clips are available on the SmartHome app or Web Portal and are motion/rule detected and are subject to your plan’s monthly upload limits. Don’t worry, your cameras will record and upload during any alarm situations, whether you have exceeded your monthly limit or not.
All our Cameras use Wi-Fi. Our Panels use a combination of Wi-Fi and LTE. Any devices will use your home Wi-Fi connection, while any LTE connection will not be billed back to you.
The security of your personal information and continuity of your system is our highest priority. Your system and mobile app will be upgraded frequently throughout the year ensuring it stays up-to-date with new features and the latest protections. Some systems may have firmware upgrades about every 3 to 6 months depending on your device.
